REVEL-MODE Van Rally (Moab, UT  Sept. 29-Oct. 1)

This annual event takes place in the world capital of off-roading, Moab. And, naturally, we’ll have the chance to get our hands (and our tires) dirty.

The Moab Overland Experience hosts many events aimed at off-roading and outdoor sporting enthusiasts. The REVEL-MODE Van Rally gives van lovers the chance to put their rigs to the test on an off-road driving course. Of course, we can do this anywhere, but there’s a camaraderie in being able to cheer each other on and confidence in knowing you aren’t alone if you get stuck.

The expo will include classes on various outdoor subjects – some specifically related to vans, including Mercedes-Benz van inspection points and which tires are the best for your van – others more generic such as wilderness survival, landscape photography, solo travel, overland apps, and more.

When you’re not testing your skills in the off-roading course or sitting in on a class, you can enjoy walking through the vendor trade show, where dozens of the latest outdoor and van culture products will be demoed. There will also be entertainment, raffles, and a wide variety of food options.

This event is also relatively new – the first one took place in 2019 in Durango, Colorado. We realized immediately that we needed to do this every year.

While this is a van rally, you’ll be welcome even if you don’t have a van. But we can almost guarantee you’ll wish you had one by the end. To register and find out more, visit revelvanrally.com.

We recognize these two events occur less than a week apart, with 265 miles between them. Attending both might test your mettle as a van enthusiast. Luckily, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in a workshop about working on the road. You may also have access to a road-worthy vehicle to get you from Grantsville to Moab. We’d love to see you at one or the other or both.
